When the going gets weird, the weird turn guns on themselves

Gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson shot himself to death last night. My thoughts upon reading the news this morning, in order:

Yeah, seems like something he'd do.
I'm surprised he didn't do it sooner, come to think of it.
I'll bet he did it last night just to upstage Sandra Dee. That seems like something he'd do too.
