To the moon, Alice
Here's a sad thought: For a woman to be perfectly suited to a man, her ideal age is supposedly half his age plus seven years. For example, if he’s 20 years old, she should be 17. If he’s 30, she should be 22. If he’s 40, she should be 27.
This means that the ideal woman for a man ages at a slower rate than he does, which means it’s impossible for her to remain his one ideal partner throughout their entire lives. That is, it’s impossible unless she slows down her aging process by spending most of her time in a spaceship traveling at near-light speeds. But what kind of relationship is that?

I always thought that the "half your age plus seven" rule wasn't about the ideal age for a female partner, but rather the youngest that she could be without it being gross.
Matt,
I'm with you. I thought that was the rule as well. Still, it means that the older and grosser a man gets, the grosser his pair-ups are allowed to be. That's great news for Keith Richards, who I'm sure makes use of (and breaks) this rule after every concert.
This is also how I've heard it, and as I'd heard it gender doesn't matter to the rule. So twelve year olds just can't have sex, as they'd automatically either be too young for their partner or their partner would be too young for them. Perhaps this is not a problem.
The youngest she can be without it being gross is the same thing as the ideal age.
That said, according to this rule, a 12-year-old boy can't date a girl who's less than 13, or he's robbing the cradle. That's a little counter-intuitive.
Guys you need to savour a woman like a bottle of fine wine, be sure not to wait to long or she'll turn into vinegar.
What exactly is the window of opportunity between the fine-wine and vinegar stages of the relationship? From when she's half your age plus 7 until she's half your age plus 9?
