Sucking eggs

I don't want to be too mean, because he's apparently a friend of a friend, but I must say that Metro contributor Ian Nathanson's mugshot for his "Sound Check" column (seen at right) looks like Humpty Dumpty receiving a blowjob.

It's just that the photo is a sillyt pose. It's a little too ecstatic, and makes you look a little round, especially given the shaved head.

And while this may not present me in the most photogenic light, it's there — under editorial approval, no less — to present me as someone who likes music but really can't stand all the mainstream b.s. that passes for music these days. Music that's enjoyable should make you act like Humpty Dumpty receiving a blowjob -- to me that's acceptable. Yes, it goes against your header: "In which the author explains why you're not capable of properly managing your own affairs and directs you how to behave more acceptably."
